February came in with sheets of frigid rain and pools of water welling up in my yard. On the inside, tender new seedlings pressed mightily toward the light.

However unmerciful the weather may be, my garden inside starts stirring to life this month.

Your seedlings have grown quickly. It won't be long before you'll be eating freshly-picked salads again.
I love the line, 'my garden sinde starts stirring to life this month'.
I would have picked yours on Blotanical for the photo alone. Lovely post.~~Dee
Those look great I love this part when they seedlings just start to pop up and stretch.
Well, I hope your roses give you much delight. You can't really go wrong with roses. I have yet to kill one after so many years of having them in my gardens.
Excellent...I'm feeling so ready for gardening season right now.
Now, that's a sight for sore eyes!
Happy seedlings! You'll have to post a picture of the progress. :-)
Christa, wow! I still find it amazing to see things green outside and water not frozen, let alone growing! Those sprouts shall be wonderful. I've just decided to try doing some winter sowing and will try to post about it on my blog to document my success ... or not :-)
Warm regards from chilly Alberta

I saw tiny sedum buds poking out a few weeks ago and thought, "Hold up there buckaroos." A tad early.
