Taste the Fruit

Our watermelon plant produced only one melon,
but what a fine melon it was.

Ah, melons--so good, such poor produces. I'm glad you got a good one! Lovely pic.

How delicious that looks! Watermelon would take up too much room in my little yard, but I love it and wish I could grow some. Congratulations on your melon harvest, and I'm keeping you in my thoughts as you make your move.

Over here is the watermelon capital but as yet to try. Even though just the one, a good one.

I posted last time that my watermelon was the same size as yours. I have 2 plants, and they both have produced 1 melon each, like yours. I am not sure how to tell when they're ripe though... They're sugar baby.

Laura,
I'm not sure, exactly, when watermelons are ripe. Mine wasn't growing any bigger, so that's why I decided to pick it. I couldn't wait any longer to taste it!

We got three watermelons, but they were tasty as well. I'm not sure the garden space is worth the small harvest, but we sure enjoy them!
