First Sprouts


The first tender greens have begun to emerge from last Sunday's seed planting. So far I see the tiniest hints of marjoram, tarragon, dahlias, and these -- how fittingly -- calendula.

    Oh they're so wonderful. I love watching the leaves sprout up. It makes me feel all sentimental and joyous, embarrasingly so! Congrats.

  6. Thanks, everyone, for stopping by. Yes, it is truly a joyous occasion to have a few seeds sprouting already, especially when the weather forecast is calling for record cold temperatures and a wind chill at 10 below zero tomorrow morning. Brrr!
