Grist has an excellent
summary of how the results of the elections are shaping up for those of us who care about the environment. I am particularly pleased to see that
Richard Pombo got the boot! He's been hell-bent on undoing the Endangered Species Act, drilling for oil in national wildlife refuges, etc. Now, keep an eye on what goes on in the so-called
"lame duck" session of Congress.
Thanks for posting this, Christa. I've never been on Grist before. It's now in my bookmarks.
ReplyDeleteWe definitely need to keep an eye on everything for the next two years. I'm expecting plenty of slimy, sneaky measures to get things through that won't have a chance in hell come January 3rd.
